In 2012, Dance Marathon at the University of Florida raised $886,000. At the time, I was a student and the director of public relations for the charity, which raised funds and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. After graduation, I was intent on staying involved.
I was honored to join Dance Marathon Alumni’s Board of Directors in 2016. During that time, I served as Communications Director, taking lead on all marketing, social media management, email strategy, graphic design and promotions for the blossoming group. By the end of my two-year term, membership nearly tripled and between 2017 and 2018, the dollars fundraised by alumni increased 317%. In 2018, Dance Marathon Alumni was honored to play a part in Dance Marathon at UF raising over $3,000,000.
